SCENARIO 11

Consider one of the greatest aspects of a soccer match, the hand shake (often prior to and after a match).

Consider what this means with regards to the “competition”. The end point is not the final whistle; to the contrary, the end point of a match is shaking the opponent’s hand.

Food for thought:
We make sue that the players and coaches shake hands.
Parents, when was the last time you made a comparable effort to meet and shake the hand of an opposing team’s parent’s hand?

Please always consider that we are custodians of a game that was here long before us and will (hopefully) be here long after we are done. Let’s make sure we leave the game with the same level of honor and integrity in which we found it!
