Call for Candidates
Who: Current high school juniors only (boys and girls) affiliated with EPYSA through club or ODP team, referee, or other.

What: Union League Good Citizenship Award
Awarded each year to boys and girls who exemplify a well rounded profile of activities. Candidates must demonstrate exemplary qualities of cooperative effort, self-control, perseverance, serious scholarship and good sportsmanship. Up to 15 candidates from EPYSA are nominated

When: Coaches, AD's or other sponsors must submit candidates’ profile no later than January 8, 2010 to EPYSA office for review and selection

Mandatory Requirement: Recipients must attend May 12, 2010– all day leadership program and awards dinner at the Union League. If one cannot attend, please do not submit a resume.

Why: Nomination of this prestigious award will add distinctive value to a student's resume when applying to colleges/universities. Award winners are also eligible to apply for a college scholarship award of $1,000/year in their senior year of high school.

Have a sponsor, coach or other person submit a Personal Profile (2 to 3 pages max) with a cover letter in the following format:
(1) Name, phone #, email and mailing address
(2) Academics , GPA
(3) Soccer & Athletics
(4) Extracurricular Activities,
(5) Community Service
(6) Awards and Recognitions
(7) Part-time job or other accomplishments

Profiles must have references with phone numbers to attest to authenticity.
