Last Four Champions Crowned at the
2015 Eastern Pennsylvania State Cup Championship

Winning teams advance to the US Youth Soccer Region I Championships Barboursville, West Virginia

WEST CHESTER, PA. (May 31)—The Eastern Pennsylvania State Cup Finals concluded Sunday with the U18 and U19 boys and girls championship matches. 

Continental FC Premier U19 Girls were the first team to claim a title on the day. They beat Reading Rage Athletica 3-0 after leading 2-0 at halftime. 

The U19 Boys needed extra time. Lehigh Valley United and Penn Fusion were tied at zero through regulation. LVU scored once in each period of overtime to secure the victory. 

The Girls U18 final followed the same pattern. Harleysville Ready outlasted Reading Rage Blackhawks 3-1 in extra time. 

Finally there was the U18 Boys match, which went scoreless for 115 minutes. Philadelphia Soccer Club Coppa Arsenal missed a penalty in the second half that would have given them a victory over Montgomery United. When Montgomery United got its chance, it didn't miss. The club buried a penalty kick with five minutes remaining in extra time to claim the last championship in the 2015 State Cup. 

The Eastern Pennsylvania State Cup is part of US Youth Soccer's National Championship Series. Sunday's winnersadvance to the Region I Championships in Barboursville, West Virginia, June 25-30. Region champs will then play for the National Championship in Tulsa, Oklahoma against the best club teams the nation has to offer.

A total of 225 girls and boys teams ranging from U12-U19 started the competition in March. The U12-U17 champions were crowned the weekend of May 16-17.
