2020 PIAA Soccer Championships| November 20-21
It has been a soccer season that we will never forget. Everyone needed to learn and adapt to the current situation we are in but the 2020 PIAA Soccer Championships are finally here! After a shortened season and unforgettable games, eight State Champions will be crowned this weekend at Hershey Park Stadium in Hershey, PA. Tune into the Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCNTV) to watch all the games. Games will also be streamed on their website below.

Friday, November 20
On Friday, November 20, the Class 1A and 3A boys’ and girls’ title games will be played. To start the day, the girls Class 1A matchup between Southern Columbia and Greensburg Central Catholic will kickoff at 11AM. Both teams had a scoring clinic in the semifinals and we should be in for a thrilling final.
The second game of the day will be for the boys Class 1A title at 1:30PM. Faith Christian will faceoff against Greensburg Central Catholic. Both teams were in nail bitters of semifinals. Faith Christian defeated Tulpehocken (1-0) in defensive battle in overtime. Greensburg Central Catholic defeated Brockway High School (2-1) in matchup that was back and forth from the first whistle. Greensburg scored the game winner with about eight minutes left in the game!
The girls Class 3A title game will be a match between the two unbeatens, nationally ranked (11th) Mars (18-0) and Villa Joseph Marie (15-0) will faceoff at 4PM. Mars scored early in their semifinal matchup versus Mechanicsburg (2-0) and did not look back. Villa Joseph Marie found themselves in a defensive battle with Sellinsgrove and it took two overtimes to decide a winner (1-0).
The final matchup on Friday will be under the lights for the boys Class 3A title between national ranked opponents Northern York (25th) and Mars (26th). Northern York (19-0-1) will look to capture their first state title in school history but will need to take down the undefeated Mars (20-0) to hoist the state title. It will be a highly anticipated finals matchup.

Saturday, November 21
To start the day on Saturday, the girls Class 2A title game will kick off at 11AM between the nationally ranked (7th) Bloomsburg and North Catholic. Bloomsburg will look to continue their remarkable season (22-1) by hoisting the state title. North Catholic will be going to the state final for the first time in their school’s history. We should be in for a thriller in Hershey!
The second matchup of the day will be for the boys Class 2A title at 1:30PM between nationally ranked (4th) Lewisburg and Deer Lakes. The Lewisburg boys defeated Oley Valley in their semifinal matchup by a score of 2-0. Deer Lakes came out firing against Fairview and won convincingly by a score of 3-0.
At 4PM, the girls Class 4A finals between Pennridge and North Allegheny will kick off. Pennridge went up against Parkland in the semifinals that produced a total of seven goals and the game winner coming in the first overtime. North Allegheny had more of a defensive battle with Cumberland Valley and only took one goal to book their ticket to Hershey.
The final game of the 2020 PIAA Soccer Championship will start at 6:30PM with a matchup between Neshaminy and nationally ranked (17th) Seneca Valley. It took overtime in Neshaminy’s semifinal matchup with Emmaus to decide a winner (2-1). Seneca Valley scored early in their semifinal matchup with Cumberland Valley to secure a 1-0 victory.

Class 4A Girls: Pennridge vs. North Allegheny at 4PM
Class 4A Boys: Neshaminy vs. Seneca Valley at 6:30PM
