The meeting covered proposed amendments to the organization’s constitution, elections reaffirmed leaders in their positions, while the proposed budget for the 2025-26 fiscal year outlined priorities in player development, coaching education, and referee support. A sideline policy was discussed to reinforce sportsmanship and accountability for all participants. Additionally, Meg Kane, Host City Executive from Philadelphia Soccer 2026, provided an update on the city’s preparations for the FIFA World Cup 2026, highlighting the “26 for 26” campaign. The 2025 Annual General Meeting confirmed the organization’s commitment to growing the game and supporting its members in the year ahead. Meeting Highlights Constitution Amendments: Membership voted on updates to align with evolving needs. First Vice President: Now assumes responsibilities when the President is absent and performs duties assigned by the President or Board. Second Vice President: Now represents the association at meetings, chair committees, and performs duties as assigned. Rationale: Providers greater flexibility in leadership roles. Elections & Nominations: Reelected Officials: President: Lennie Brown (incumbent) Second Vice President: Bill Fuller (incumbent) Treasurer: Jim Brown (incumbent) District Commissioners: District 1: Jeff Tener (incumbent) District 3: Scott Blockus (incumbent) District 5: Scott Merritt (incumbent) Proposed Budget & Fees for 2025-26: Presented financial priorities for player development, coaching education, and referee initiatives. Reviewed proposed fees and fines to balance operational needs and accountability. Sideline Behavior & Conduct Policy: A policy was discussed to reinforce sportsmanship, respect for referees, and accountability. Coaches are responsible for their teams and supporters. Referees have full authority to issue disciplinary actions, including match termination. Philadelphia World Cup 2026 Update: Meg Kane, Host City Executive, Philadelphia Soccer 2026, provided updates on the tournament preparations. “26 for 26” Campaign: Raises funds to improve soccer facilities in Philadelphia. A $26 donation enters a raffle for prizes, including FIFA Club World Cup 2025 tickets. Proceeds go towards field refurbishments, new mini-pitches, and educational programs.
