It's been a pretty good year so far for Ronks native and Lancaster Mennonite graduate Keegan Rosenberry. A product of Georgetown University, Rosenberry was selected with the third overall pick in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft by the Philadelphia Union.
From day one, he jumped in as the team's starting right back and has drawn praise locally and nationally for his play.
On Saturday, Rosenberry was rewarded for his hot start by being voted to the 2016 AT&T MLS All-Star Fan XI. He will start in the All-Star Game July 28 against Arsenal.
Rosenberry, with one goal to his name, is just the second rookie voted to the MLS All-Star team since 2005. He will be joined in San Jose by Union teammate Andre Blake, who has been sensational in net for Philadelphia.
It's quite an achievement for both Rosenberry and Blake, 22 and 25 respectively, considering they'll play alongside the likes of Kaka, David Villa, Didier Drogba, Giovani Dos Santos, Sebastian Giovinco and Andrea Pirlo, a who's who of international soccer.
