Champions Crowned at the
2015 Eastern Pennsylvania Presidents Cup Finals
ALLENTOWN, Pa. (May 3, 2015) – The 2015 Eastern Pennsylvania Presidents Cup Championships concluded Sunday with 12 finals played at the Lehigh County Sport Fields.
More than 183 boys and girls teams started the competition in March. Just 24 were left standing on Sunday to compete in final matches. The winning teams will advance to the US Youth Soccer Region I Presidents Cup Finals in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, May 23-25, where they will play for a spot in the Presidents Cup National Championship.
FC York Elite and West-Mont United were the big winners of the day. Two teams from each club will play in Slippery Rock at the end of the month. Twelve clubs in total will be represented in the Region I Championships.
The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup is designed for teams seeking additional challenges to play against teams of similar abilities for a national title. The cup provides a progressive, competitive experience to teams that might not otherwise get the opportunity to participate in a series of unique experiences highlighting competition, camaraderie and community from the state to regional to national levels of US Youth Soccer.
