From June 26-30, Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer, in partnership with the Philadelphia Department of Parks & Recreation, hosted a clinic for the kids of Camp 2000 at the Shepard Recreation Center in West Philadelphia.
Dozens of kids were exposed to the sport for the first time. With the help of Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer-staffed coaches, it was a successful introduction with the hope that some of the young players will take the game up on a more permanent basis. In the video above, Duria Hobbs, a Behavioral Health Specialist representing Camp 2000, discusses the impact the clinic could have on the camp attendees.
