Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Introduces Respect, Fair Play Program

Plymouth Meeting—April 28, 2017— To help reinforce values of good sportsmanship, Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer is introducing a patch program for all its clubs. Clubs can choose “Fair Play” or “Respect” patches to display on their uniforms or shorts.

Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer will cover the costs of the patches as well as shipping. It is a free program for member clubs.

Interested clubs can order patches—either Fair Play, Respect or both—from EPYSA.org. There is no limit to the amount of patches clubs can request, although Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer kindly requests that all patches get used. Orders will be collected throughout the spring and summer with the intention of having patches on uniforms prior to the start of the 2017-18 season.

Fair Play & Respect Patch Order Form

In addition, the patches will be featured on all Eastern Pennsylvania ODP uniforms going forward.

Angelo’s Soccer Corner, a sponsor of Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer, has the capability to apply patches for clubs involved in the program that order uniforms through the soccer retail provider. The patches can also be applied at home.

“In the changing world of youth soccer, sometimes we lose sight of the appropriate way to approach competition,” said Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer CEO Chris Branscome. “The patch program is a small way we can help promote ideals of ‘Respect’ and ‘Fair Play,’ things we want to see in every game from players, coaches, spectators and referees.”
