Presidents Cup National Championship Recap

national PResidents cup championships

Congratulations to the four teams that represented Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer at this year’s Presidents Cup National Championship. The tournament kicked off July 7 with three group play games. All four teams, North Union 14 and u16 girls, PA Rush u15 boys, and Iron Valley SC Thorns u18, made the championship match for their respective age groups.

Iron Valley u18 and North Union u16 had to fight all weekend to make the championship game. Both teams were out of the finals heading into their final group play match on Saturday. A 2-1 victory for North Union and a 2-0 victory for Iron Valley pushed them into second place in their group and the finals. It did not get much easier for the two clubs, each winning their championship match by just a goal. Way to bring it home, girls!

Even though PA Rush u15 boys and North Union United u14 girls did not win the championship, getting that far was still a fantastic accomplishment. PA Rush featured in the best match of the day. Them and Roadrunners FC (CAS) finished 1-1 in regular time. The match went to penalties, where the Roadrunners came out victorious 4-3. Congrats to PA Rush and North Union on a great season. See you in the fall!!
