LOCAL SOCCER ORGANIZATIONS RECEIVE THOUSANDS WITH GROW THE GAME FUND
Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer annually awards grants to organizations working toward growing the game of soccer throughout eastern Pennsylvania. After a two-year hiatus, Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer is thrilled to welcome the return of the Grow the Game Fund program.
Formerly called the Development Grants program, the grant provides assistance to organizational projects aimed at growing the sport collectively. Some opportunities for demonstrative growth include increasing the number of registered soccer players, licensed coaches, and administrators; and expanding opportunities to people of color and lower economic communities.
“It’s an honor to have so many impactful organizations apply for this grant. It continues to prove that we can always help our communities in various capacities,” said Chris Branscome, CEO at Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer. “In particular, we are excited to have a chance at extending our organization’s impact while still maintaining its connectedness to our mission and the people we serve.”
The total award amount is $47,500. The Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Grow the Game Fund received financial support from partners Nike, Kwikgoal, and Angelo’s Soccer Corner.
