Thank you to everyone that donated what they could during these difficult times, we truly appreciate it! We could not have raised as much as we did without our membership. In total, we raised 3,825 dollars for families during the holiday season to put food on the table for their families. Thank you to Philadbundance who gave us this opportunity to help make peoples lives brighter during the holiday season.
The food insecurity rate in Philadelphia is over 23%, with surrounding counties at 12% or above. Feeding America officials have seen a 60% increase in demand for food assistance. With food insecurity comes depression, fear and thoughts of just giving up. We can make a difference with many families if we demonstrate compassion and make giving a priority to help others.
