Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Grassroots Soccer Manager JT Dorsey has been recognized with the prestigious U.S. Soccer Kim Crabbe Game Changers Award, celebrating his impact on growing the game and creating opportunities for players of all backgrounds.
With a lifelong commitment to youth development, Dorsey has worked tirelessly to provide access, mentorship, and pathways for aspiring players. Through the JT Dorsey Foundation, he has helped under-resourced communities by providing wellness education, mentorship, and leadership development. His leadership in grassroots soccer has expanded opportunities within Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer, inspiring countless young athletes to pursue their dreams.
“JT and his foundation’s mission is to provide wellness education, physical activity, mentoring, leadership, employment training, and a safe place for under-resourced children to grow up,” said Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer CEO Chris Branscome. “He’s the embodiment of that mission and a beacon for others.”
This award, named after Kim Crabbe, the first African American woman to play for the U.S. Women’s National Team, honors those who have made a lasting impact on diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging in a creative and sustainable way. Dorsey’s dedication to inclusivity, education, and community engagement embodies the spirit of this recognition, making a difference in the lives of many.
“JT’s mantra of ‘I Belong, You Belong, We Belong’ shows kids and communities there’s a place for them in our sport,” Branscome said. “He’s helped to change the trajectory of many soccer clubs and transform the lives of thousands of coaches and kids. He’s given them direction and training, along with friendship and hope.”
