Five Eastern Pennsylvania teams crown regional champions
The 2022 US Youth Soccer Eastern Regional Presidents finals officially concluded on Tuesday, June 21. Teams from all over the east traveled to the Barboursville Soccer Complex in Barboursville, West Virginia for an opportunity to be named regional champions. The 12U boys and girl’s teams competed in Charleston, West Virginia. In total, there were 16 Eastern Pennsylvania teams who competed in the regional tournament. Nine of those teams advanced to the semi-finals and six to the finals. Each year we see offensive shootouts, defensive battles, nail-biting games, overtime wins, and penalty shootouts. This year was no exception as every team fought hard in hopes to be crowned champions. Congratulations to North Union United SC 08F Valor, PA Rush 2007 Rush Boys, North Union United SC 06F Wave, Iron Valley United SC Thorns 04F, and Vereingung Erzgebirge SC Gunners for being crowned Eastern Presidents Cup Champions! These teams officially punched their tickets to the 2022 US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup in Greensboro, North Carolina from July 7-10.
