On Oct. 25, Jacobs Playground in Philadelphia played host to a memorial tribute to the late Lonnie Cohen. Cohen was the commissioner for the entire Philadelphia Parks and Recreation indoor and outdoor soccer program as well as the director for outdoor soccer. He was also the facilities supervisor at Hillside Recreation Center.

The Cohen family – accompanied by youth players, league directors, PPR retirees and club directors – participated in the opening coin flip.

All-stars from all the Philadelphia Parks and Recreation Soccer League teams participated in the Lonnie Cohen Memorial All-Star game, Tuesday October 25th.

Games started at 6 p.m. with the U8 Boys, U8 Girls and U9 Boys. The U12 Girls, U9 and U10 Girls, and U10 Boys followed with games at 7 p.m. Closing out the night were the U11 and U12 Boys at 8 p.m.
