Select members of the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association will have the opportunity to display their soccer skills on a national level in the coming months.
US Youth Soccer has announced the Olympic Development Program (ODP) National Select Team rosters for a pair of upcoming events. The U13-14 teams will play in the Las Vegas Mayors Cup on February 24-26 and then the U15-18 teams will compete in the Dallas Cup Invitational in April.
These are the two flagship events for the ODP program, the premier provider of quality training to elite youth soccer players in the United States. Their purpose is to, “identify and provide opportunities for high-potential players, facilitate their development, expose them to the next level of their chosen pathway, and motivate their pursuit of excellence.
The talent pool of youth soccer players in Eastern Pennsylvania continues to grow. This year, nine exceptional players will represent Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer on the national stage. Two girls and one boy from Pennsylvania will compete in the Las Vegas Mayors Cup, and two girls and four boys will head to Texas to participate in the Dallas Cup Invitational. Three of the 18 boys to make the 2008 Dallas Cup team roster are from Eastern Pennsylvania.
