Joshua Anderson is returning home from Dallas Cup with hardware after the 2007 ODP National Select Team captured the U16 boys championship on Saturday.

Anderson started for the 2007 ODP team and had some bright attacking moments in a game that ended up being decided by penalties after a scoreless draw with Solar SC.

Anderson was part of an ODP team that went unbeaten in six games during Dallas Cup. They posted five straight wins after a scoreless draw to open group play with Texas club Rayos. The 2007s outscored opponents 10-2.

Saturday's final was the third at Dallas Cup that featured a player from Eastern PA. Kylie Maxwell (2007) and Eden Veenema (2006) both played in finals with ODP National Select teams that came up short on Friday. 

While Anderson didn't participate in the penalty shootout, he was one of the first players running onto the field to celebrate winning the golden boot and ball trophy with his teammates when the shootout was decided.
