NCS State Cup and Presidents Cup champions will be crowned Saturday in Downingtown

trophiesDOWNINGTOWN, PA - Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer will host the finals of the Eastern Pennsylvania Presidents Cup and State Cup (12U-17U) on Saturday, May 20, at United Sports Training Center in Downingtown. 

A total of 28 games in the two competitions will be played with the first games kicking off at 8 a.m. and the last games at 4 p.m.

Winners will have an opportunity to advance to the US Youth Soccer Eastern Regional Championships and the US Youth Soccer Eastern Presidents Cup. Regional winners at the 13U-19U age levels qualify for the USYS National Championships in Orlando and the USYS Presidents Cup in Wichita this summer.

Four additional Olympic Development Program State Cup finals will be played on Saturday by teams at the 12U and 13U level. Three games (13U Girls Bucks vs Delco, 13U Boys Montco vs Lehigh Valley, and 12U Boys Bucks vs Lehigh Valley) will kick off at 4 p.m. and a fourth (12U Girls Bucks vs Lehigh Valley) will kick off at 5:30 p.m.

Nine teams will be looking to repeat as cup winners on Saturday.

Yardley Wakefield Soccer Spirt is going for a third straight State Cup championship in the 15U girls final while Penn Alliance Select (14U girls), Keystone Athletic Black (16U girls) and FC Revolution Reds (17U girls) are looking to repeat in NCS State Cup. Steel United PA (14U girls), Hulmeville SC Dortmund (18U boys), Lancaster Elite Strikers (18U girls) and Vereinigung Erzgebirge SC Gunners (19U boys) are aiming to become back-to-back Presidents Cup champions. After winning the 12U Presidents Cup last year, Warrington SC United is in the final for the 13U NCS State Cup.

Six games this year will be streamed live on the Veo Live app through a partnership with Veo.

May 20 is one of two state cup final days on the calendar. The Challenge Cup (9U-19U) and State Cup (18U-19U) finals will be played on June 10 at the HillTop Soccer Complex in Royersford, Pa. 

An added incentive for teams playing in the Presidents Cup finals on Saturday is where the regionals will be staged.

Eastern PA Youth Soccer is hosting the Eastern Regional Presidents Cup from June 16-20 at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School in Plymouth Meeting and The Proving Grounds in Conshohocken. More information is available at epysa.org/eastern-presidents-cup.
