After a solid showing in qualifiers in April, Eastern Pennsylvania ODP player Maya Raghunandanan is getting a chance to represent Jamaica again in the Concocaf U-20 Women's Championship in the Dominican Republic.
The 2007-born midfielder, who doesn't turn 16 until September, has her sights on qualifying for the U-20 World Cup with the Reggae Girlz, which are in Group A with the United States, Canada and Panama.
The top two teams in the group advance to the knockouts.
The top three finishers in the eight-team tournament will advance to the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.
Jamaica is scheduled to play Canada on Wednesday, the U.S. on Friday and Panama on Sunday.
UPDATE: Due to field conditions the Canada game has been moved to Friday at 3 p.m., the U.S. game to Sunday at 6 p.m. and Panama to close out group play to Tuesday at 3 p.m.
