Twenty-five teams from Eastern Pennsylvania are down in Loudoun County, Virginia for the US Youth Soccer Eastern Regional Championships.
The regional competition kicks off on Friday at two sites: Hanson Regional Park in Aldie and Bolen Memorial Park in Leesburg.
The 25 teams representing Eastern PA are from 12 different clubs.
About half of the teams qualified for regionals through the NCS State Cup. The other teams qualified through league play.
Three teams - FC Revolution Reds, YMS Premier Celtic and Keystone Premier 06 Girls - have already qualified for the USYS National Championships. The rest will be aiming both for a regional title and qualification for nationals.
