Comeback Kids: FC Ballyhoo advance to USYS National Presidents Cup final in penalty shootout

fcballyhooFC Ballyhoo found an equalizer in regulation and overcame a deficit in a penalty shootout to advance to the US Youth Soccer 16U Boys National Presidents Cup final.

Ballyhoo will play NCRT Blue from North Carolina in a final that will kick off at 11:30 a.m. eastern time on Tuesday at the Stryker Sports Complex in Wichita, Kansas. 

The game will be streamed live on the Upper 90 HQ YouTube channel

FC Ballyhoo is the lone team from Eastern Pennsylvania with a chance to win a national title in Wichita on Tuesday. Steel United PA took an early lead in the 14U Girls semifinal but conceded an equalizer and fell on penalties after a 1-1 draw. 

They are looking to become the first boys team from Eastern PA to win a National Presidents Cup since the VE Green Gunners won in 2018. Two girls teams - Iron Valley United Thorns and North Union United Wave - both won the National Presidents Cup last year and were the first to win from Eastern PA since the VE Green Gunners.
