The college soccer season officially begins on Thursday with the start of the Division 1 women's season.
Eastern Pennsylvania schools Villanova, Lafayette, La Salle, Bucknell, Drexel and Temple will all host games on Thursday while Saint Joseph's will be on the road at Bucknell.
Tenth-ranked Penn State will host No. 2-ranked North Carolina to open their season at home at Jeffrey Field on Thursday evening in a game that will be broadcast live on the Big Ten Network. They'll host 2022 Division II finalists West Chester at Jeffrey Field on Sunday at 1 p.m.
The University of Pennsylvania women will begin their season on August 25 at home against American, a day after the Division 1 men's season officially kicks off.
