The men’s Division 1 college soccer season opens today for all but two of the programs in Eastern Pennsylvania.

St. Joseph’s hosts Philly Soccer 6 rival Drexel at Sweeney Field at 7 p.m. and Lehigh will welcome Temple on Monday night at 6 p.m. in the two opening weekend local derbies. Penn will kick off their season on September 1 at Fordham.

In addition to St. Joe’s, Lehigh and Lafayette both kick off the season at home today. Villanova will be on the road Sunday at Albany. La Salle has their home opener against Army on Monday after their game in Massachusetts against Stonehill today at 4 p.m.
