USMNT beats Oman 4-0 in friendly in Minnesota

ST. PAUL, Minn. — The USMNT capped off a successful two-game stint during the international break with a 4-0 win over Oman on Tuesday night at Allianz Field.

Folarin Balogun, Ricardo Pepi and former Philadelphia Union star Brenden Aaronson all scored an a fourth goal came via own goal in the comfortable follow-up to a 3-0 win over Uzbekistan in St. Louis on Saturday.

The two friendlies marked the return of Gregg Berhalter to the head coaching role after former Eastern Pennsylvania ODP coach BJ Callaghan led the team as an interim head coach in the summer after taking over for interim Anthony Hudson.

Hershey, Pa. native and PA Classics alum Christian Pulisic scored his 26th international goal from the spot to cap off the 3-0 win over Uzbekistan.

Ricardo Pepi had goals in both matches to bring his career total to nine in 18 appearances.

The USMNT will return to action next month for USA-Germany on Oct. 14 at Pratt & Whitney Stadium in East Hartford, Conn., before facing Ghana on Oct. 17 in Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn.
