Media native Auston Trusty made his Premier League debut for Sheffield United over the weekend.

The 25-year-old former Nether United and ODP standout, who began his professional career with the Philadelphia Union in 2017, checked into Saturday's match at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the 86th minute.

Late game heroics from Tottenham spoiled Trusty's debut, defeating the Blades 2-1 on two late extra time goals. But it was still a massive moment for Trusty, who signed with Sheffield United in August after spending the 2022-23 season with Birmingham City in the English Championship. 

"All I can think about is how honored and grateful I am," Trusty wrote on social media. "A lot of blood, sweat and tears along the this ride. All worth it. Thank you to everyone who has been apart of this journey. More to come. Only the beginning!"

Trusty has had a banner 2023 so far. He made his senior USMNT debut in March in a game at Grenada and after being named the Supporters Player of the Year at Birmingham secured a move to the Premier League when he signed with Sheffield United on a permanent transfer.
