Eastern Pennsylvania Teams Compete at National League PRO Event in Texas

The first National League PRO event for the 2021-2022 season occurred in Round Rock, Texas on Nov. 12-15. United States Youth Soccer National League P.R.O. features the top teams in the country that have each earned a place in the league. Every league game is meaningful, as the top teams in each bracket earn an automatic bid to the US Youth Soccer national Championship. The first event featured U14 Boys and Girls teams. Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association was represented by a total of seven teams.  

 

Boys 

Yardley Makefield Soccer 2008 Boys Celtic NL won each of the three matches that they played and finished with nine points, the second most in Group C. The club defeated both Nona Soccer 2008 Black (FL) and Washington Rush B08 (WA) by the score of 1-0. They also added a 3-1 win over Sparta Premier B08 MD (UT).

 

Lehigh Valley United 2008 Boys Black played four games, claiming victory in three and drawing once. They tallied 10 points, tied for the most in Group E. LVU outscored its first three opponents 9-1 before tying Brentwood SC 08 Premier Man City, 2-2.  

 

Lower Merion Soccer Club Thunder tallied one win, one loss and one draw in its three matches, scoring four goals across the contests. The team fell to CSC 08 Boys Premier (SC), 1-0 before bouncing back with a 2-1 win against Nona Soccer 2008 Black (FL)LMSC closed out the matches with a 1-1 tie against Spart Premier B08 MD (UT). They finished the weekend with four points and a fourth-place finish in Group C. 

 

Phila Ukrainian Nationals 08B Black went 0-2-1 in its three Group B matches. The team dropped its first contest to FC Dallas ETX 08 Garcia (TX-N), 1-0, before playing La Roca KP 08 (UT) to a 0-0 draw. They fell to Las Vegas Diversity FC 08 NL (NV), 2-0, in its final match.  

 

Girls 

After playing to a 2-1-1 record, Penn FC Youth 2008 Black finished with atop the Group A standings with seven points. They fell to Michigan Tigers 2008 Girls Gold in the first match, but came back to defeat Rochester Lancers 2008G (NY-W), 5-1. Following a 3-3 tie against NJ Premier G2008 (NJ), Penn FC was able to down La Roca 08 FD (UT), 1-0. 

 

Lancaster Elite Atoms – along with three other teams – finished the weekend with four points and a 1-1-1 record. Lancaster claimed a 2-0 victory over BSA 08 Showcase (FL), but then fell to Washington Rush G08 (WA) by the same score. They tied United PDX 2008G Premier Black, 1-1. 

 

Yardley Makefield Soccer 08G Premier Spirit NL came away from the weekend with a 1-2-0 record and three points. They fell to BFC 2008 Girls Premier (MS), 5-2 and GTFC Impact Girls 08 Premier, 2-1.  They were able to defeat Indy Premier SC 08G Elite I (IN) by the score of 2-0.
