NCS State Cup Team Highlight: Quaker Elite 13U

QUAKER ELITE 13U BOYS LOOKING TO TAKE HOME 2022 NCS STATE CUP CHAMPIONSHIP

A team from Quaker Elite Soccer Club will soon get the opportunity to compete for the title of National Championship Series State Champion. The Quaker Elite Boys 2009 Magicians have worked hard to earn their spot in the NCS State Cup. Quaker Elite faced Tredyffrin Easttown Youth SA FCE 2009 Boys Elite in a challenging semifinal game. Quaker Elite won 1-0 in overtime to officially earn their position in the finals. This will be the 2009 Magicians’ first time competing in the NCS State Cup.

Their club posted on Facebook that the game-winning goal was scored by Declan Mccafferty. Goalie, Jake Oneill, had a shutout in the semifinal game, which earned him a shoutout from the club on social media. They ended the post by saying: “Off to the state finals!”

The Quaker Elite Magicians coach, John “Mac” Mcintyre, is no rookie when it comes to State Cups. So far, he’s brought home three state championships: two with Lighthouse ‘02 boys and one with FC Bucks ‘97 girls. Mac knows a thing or two about soccer as he played professionally for five years with the Philadelphia Kixx and Milwaukee Wave. In 2016 Mcintyre was inducted into his alma mater, Saint Joseph’s University, Men’s Soccer Hall of Fame. He is also the coach of another Quaker Elite team, the 2007 Rowdies.

The Magicians are also fortunate enough to have a three-time indoor state cup championship-winning coach, Mike Falsetta. Flasetta is the president and founder of Quaker Elite Soccer and is the head coach of the Quaker Elite 2008 Gold team.

Next up for the Quaker Elite Magicians is the State Cup finals against PA Dominion FC 2009 Boys. PA Dominion also played in a close, 2-1, semifinal game against Villanova Soccer Academy Milan. This weekend, we’ll find out if Mac and Mike will continue their journey to bring home yet another State Championship title.

Quaker Elite and PA Dominion will face off on Saturday, May 21 at 11:00 a.m. on Field 7 at United Sports Training Center in Downingtown, PA. The winning team will go on to compete in the 2022 US Youth Soccer Eastern Regional Championships in Charleston and Barboursville, West Virginia, from June 24 to June 30. Good luck to both teams competing!
