The heat is on for penn fc
(ORLANDO, FL) Penn Fc Youth Lightning won’t stop at just one National Championship title! The 2021 champs are heading to finals and ready for a 2peat. The 18U girls had a great run in their group play matches where they won all 3 games. They faced a tough competitor on the final day of group play. The score at half was 0-0, with both teams struggling to find their rhythm. After what must’ve been an inspiring half time pep talk, Penn Fc’s Liza Suydam finished and earn the team a semi-final spot!
Today, the pressure was on but Lightning was prepared. The girls secured a spot in the finals for another with a 5-1 win over Tennessee SC Murfreesboro 2004 Girls Showcase. Jamie Swartz found the net twice, while Elizabeth Suydam and Ashley and Katelyn Economopoulous each recorded a goal. Tomorrow they will face Galaxy SC Blue from Illinois for the title and a chance to be back-to-back champions. Let’s bring home another championship title girls!
