PRESIDENTS CUP TEAM HIGHLIGHT: PENN FUSION 13U GIRLS

Penn Fusion 13U Looking to Take Home 2022 Presidents Cup Championship

The Penn Fusion Academy 13U Predators will be attending the Presidents Cup Finals this weekend at United Sports Training Center in Downingtown, PA. They’ll face off against Steel United ’09 Girls’ Elite.

Both teams fought hard in each of their respective brackets by finishing with six points and advancing to the semifinals. One week ago, the Predators scrapped their way to the finals by beating Capital Area SA 2009 Elite in penalties.

Though the 13U girls’ team will be competing for the title of Presidents Cup Champions, this isn’t the first time the 2009 girls’ team made qualifying rounds in a Cups tournament. Last year, the team made it to the Presidents Cup semifinal round. In 2019, the team finished first in their group and made it to the Challenge Cup knockout stage.

Led by coaches Jon Pierce and Corrie Distefano, the 2009 Predators are the only team (for both boys and girls) representing Penn Fusion Soccer Academy in this year’s Presidents Cup.

Penn Fusion 13U Predators will compete against Steel United ’09 Elite for the title of Presidents Cup Champion on Saturday, May 21, at 9 a.m. on Field 3.
