Safeguarding and Risk Management Workshop

Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer is pleased to announce it will be hosting a Safeguarding Workshop in conjunction with US Soccer.  The Workshop is open to all member organizations, and will be held on Wednesday, March 20 at 7:00 PM at the Marriott Philadelphia West in Conshohocken.

This workshop will cover various aspects of player safety and will be conducted by Alison Kocoras, Vice President of Response and Welfare and Bria Duvall, SafeSport Coordinator along with Eastern Pennsylvania CEO Chris Branscome and Director of Operations, Leo Kelly.  The Safeguarding Workshop will address Prohibited Conduct Policy, Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy, Codes of Conduct, SafeSport reporting procedures- when and how, Severity of Misconduct Matrices as well as club and individual responsibilities.  We will also review Commonwealth of Pennsylvania clearances and compliance procedures. This will be an interactive seminar, questions are welcomed.

This workshop is the opportunity for risk managers and other administrators of all levels to be provided with current best practices and the most up to date interpretations. Safeguarding or young players is perhaps the most crucial aspect of the youth soccer experience.  It is highly recommended that member organizations and affiliates send at least one person to attend.
