Earlier this week, it was announced that Philadelphia was among the 32 North American cities that were deemed potential host cities for the 2026 World Cup. The United States, Mexico and Canada will launch a joint bid early in 2018 to host the tournament.

If Philadelphia does make the final cut--and the bid is successful--games will be played at Lincoln Financial Field, which has hosted Gold Cup and Copa America Centenario matches in the last three years.

The number of cities that will make the "final" cut has not been set yet.
