DOWNINGTOWN, Pa. (May 15)—The 2016 Eastern Pennsylvania NCS State Cup concluded Sunday with age groups from Under-12 to Under-17 competing for championships at United Sports Training Center.

A total of 12 teams claimed state championships.

The Eastern Pennsylvania State Cup is part of US Youth Soccer's National Championship Series. This weekend's winners advance to the Region I Championships in Barboursville, West Virginia, June 30-July 5. Region champs will then play for the National Championship in Frisco, Texas against the best club teams the nation has to offer.

YMS Xplosion (U17 Girls) provided the highlight of the day. The Xplosion, US Youth Soccer National Finalists the last three seasons, rallied from a 2-0 deficit to defeat LDC Galaxy 3-2 in extra time. It was the Xplosion's fourth Eastern Pennsylvania State Cup Championship.
