Chad Stout (Fusion FC) and Jaiden Coyne (Lehigh Valley Soccer League/Eastern Northampton County Soccer Club), 2016 Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Union League of Philadelphia Good Citizen Award winners, were awarded scholarships from the Union League in 2017. They were honored Tuesday night at a banquet at the Union League.

The Union League receives more than 50 applications for its college scholarships. Just eight are awarded after a rigorous process, which includes an essay, a 10-plus page application and an interview with the Board of Trustees. 

Jaiden will attend Penn State University for nursing, while Chad has already enrolled at the University of Pittsburgh, where he is studying economics. He will also play soccer for the Panthers.
