At the close of Sunday's U16 Girls US Youth Soccer National Championship Game in Tulsa, Oklahoma, YMS Xplosion found itself in a familiar, bittersweet position. For the third consecutive season, the Eastern Pennsylvania club finished runner-up.

Jacksonville FC (FL) beat YMS 3-0 after the teams played scoreless soccer for the first half. JFC also defeated YMS 1-0 in the U15 final in 2014. 

It was a tremendous run for the Xplosion throughout the tournament. An extra-time victory in the semifinal returned the club to the title match. Perhaps a fourth time will be the charm in 2016.
